Quality Assurance
This final process is crucial to any entrepreneur who wants to succeed in any industry.
We are strongly confident about our translation skills, but we know that it's always good to have another subject-matter expert to double-check our work. That way, we get to receive feedback on our work and keep on improving.
Our QA is based on two fundamental steps:
1. Editing.
This is based on a prescriptive grammar viewpoint. If there's something to fix, we will fix it. If something could have been translated in a better way (in terms of stylistic suitability) then that will be addressed as well.
We work with a dual-monitor setup, which allows us to save a significant amount of time that we would otherwise waste toggling between windows and files.
The idea is not to get hung up on personal preferences, this is a "right or wrong" approach.
If you have your own glossary, terminology database, a translation memory, or even your own style guide, please let us know, we can always accommodate your needs.
2. Proofreading.
This is done for the purposes of ensuring that the translation you requested is suitable for the specific audience who will be reading it. This is of utmost importance in documents that have an educational or informational purpose. For instance, we all know how to use a computer, but people of different ages and backgrounds learn at a different pace. You definitely need someone to make sure that is checked before publication. This is the case of technical documents, user manuals, textbooks or even documents with political content.
Once this is complete, rest assured you will have received an outstanding product.
